MLS GO is Major League Soccer’s recreational youth soccer program with the mission of creating an inclusive and elevated experience for all participants. Fun, diversity and affordability are at the heart of MLS GO with a program that has been designed to increase participation and enable more kids to play soccer.

MLS GO powered by DCFC is offered to all children ages 5-11. Whether destined for the professional ranks or looking to get their initial experience in the sport, MLS GO is the first step in the pathway, where all can learn fundamental soccer skills and develop a lasting love of the game.

Registration fee is $100 and includes MLS club uniforms, 6 practices with licensed DCFC coaches and 6 MLS Go league games.

50% of all proceeds from MLS Go will be donated to Open Goal Project, the official community partner of MLS Go powered by District of Columbia Football Club.

Games

6 MLS Go League Games will be on every Saturday morning from 8-9am at Edgewood Recreation Center.

Practices

6 Practices led by USSF licensed DCFC coaches will be held every Monday from 4:30-6pm at Edgewood Recreation Center.

  • Access & Opportunity

    By offering local communities a structured introductory soccer program with connections to a developmental pathway, we’re enabling greater access to the sport – seeking to remove barriers that prevent kids from playing the game. Let’s GO play!

  • MLS Club Uniforms

    When your child participates in an MLS GO league, the only additional equipment you need to provide are shin guards and cleats for practices and games. With your registration fee, you receive a jersey, shorts, and socks, and your coach will have soccer balls for practices and games.

  • Co-Ed Youth Soccer

    MLS GO powered by DCFC is a co-ed youth soccer league for boys and girls ages 5-11. MLS GO is Major League Soccer’s youth soccer experience, with the mission of creating an inclusive and elevated recreational experience for boys and girls of all levels.

MLS Go powered by DCFC is dedicated to making youth soccer more equitable and accessible in our communities. For each paid registration, one player from a family in need will be empowered by Open Goal Project to participate in MLS Go for free.

About Open Goal Project

Open Goal Project is dedicated to holistic sports based youth development using soccer as a vehicle for social upward mobility in our community. The primary aim of Open Goal Project is to create a positive impact for the young people in our community and create a lasting positive impact on our community as a whole. We work to clear paths for young soccer players to access opportunities for growth, on and off the field, regardless of socio-economic status. We stand firm in our belief that growing with the beautiful game as athletes and participating in enriching youth development opportunities should not depend on where our players live, the language they speak, or how much money their families make.
